As senior vice president of clinical innovation, Dr. Aamir Rehman helps Consortium’s member Plans identify differentiating clinical solutions that will enhance their value proposition for national account management and sales. He is also Consortium’s prime strategic business partner to member Plans across all topics related to clinical solutions, models of care delivery, and emerging clinical technologies and applications. Most recently, Aamir was a partner and North America clinical services leader for Mercer, where he led the Mercer clinical team and worked with large employers to develop clinical strategy for their employees with the goal of providing best-in-class quality, efficient, and superior customer-focused care. This involved reviewing and recommending models of care, including value-based care, in addition to identifying, implementing, and integrating new clinical solutions for the employee population. Aamir also supported large clients with their review of clinical carrier and vendor-based clinical solutions and programs. Before joining Mercer, Aamir was chief of clinical integration for a group of health systems with VHA, served as the executive vice president of Saint Peter’s Healthcare System, and was a principal/partner with the Advisory Board Company. Aamir also worked on business design and strategy projects for Oliver Wyman. Aamir earned his medical degree at the Aga Khan University Medical College and his MBA from Duke University. He has done clinical work and training at Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. In addition, he served as an adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University and as a visiting scholar at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
