Laurence is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Toyota Financial Services, Australia. As a member of the senior executive team, he is respected as a business leader and a commercially minded HR professional. He also sits on the Asia Pacific Region and Global Toyota Finance HR Committees.
Laurence’s experience spans multinational corporate and unionised environments. He’s previously held high-profile senior HR positions within the financial services sector including HBOS Australia and Bankwest. With over 20 years HR experience, he has consulted for blue-chip organisations and brings strategic focus and direction to complex business environments.
During his time with Toyota, he has taken the HR function to a strategic level. This includes fostering talent development and succession planning through a structured Learning & Development program and aligning people policies and processes with business strategy.
Throughout his career, Laurence has overseen the implementation of sophisticated, data driven initiatives which have improved HR decision making and is well versed in building business cases for HR technology.
Laurence has an MBA, is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and holds qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and Professional Coaching.
